I like to say that Blinx was the original cat of chaos on the Xbox when Blinx: The Time Sweeper released. It touted some pretty cool time manipulation elements that were a lot of fun. He was the cat that the Prince of Persia should consult when looking to go back and forth through time. Blinx had it all down to a science with his ability to record, rewind or put things in slow motion. The TS1000 was a big bag of time tricks.
I had some fun with Blinx. It was a concept that the Xbox really tried to use to differentiate itself from the PlayStation 2 and its games. I’d like to see them bring Blinx back to next-gen status but I highly doubt it’ll happen. I wouldn’t mind seeing how it would be if there was a version for the Xbox 360.
Flashback Game: Blinx: The Time Sweeper
Released: October 1 2002
Next-Gen Meter: Maybe, wouldn’t mind
You can give Blinx: The Time Sweeper a try on the Xbox 360 if you’ve never played it. It’s a backward compatible title. I’m not sure where you’ll find a copy these days but if you can, I think you’ll enjoy it.
